Joe Biden meets Vladimir Putin, so what has really happened there between Joe and Vlad?

June 17, 2021

Today we saw two versions of  press conferences.   Vladimir was relaxed, confident, and allowed every reporter to ask questions.  Joe came with a list.  Only WH approved reporters please.   Here is how it went:

Human Rights:

Putin –  There is more human rights trouble in the US than in Russia.  See what happened after that African American was killed by police.  All those BLM riots, and then, the protest  in Washington, where a protester was killed by Police, and hundreds of protesters are jailed.  Every day, people are killed in the US.  We don’t have all this in Russia.

Biden – Human rights are in our DNA….(and then he lied and said that a policeman was killed by the rioters on 1/6. The truth is that an unarmed protester, Ashli Babbitt, was shot in the head by capitol police, while the police officer, Brian Sicknick, died a day later from a stroke, unrelated to the demonstration.).

1:0  Russia

Cyberattacks:

Putin –  According to a US report, the 5 nations at the top of the list of where Cyberattacks come from are:  the US, Canada, UK, and two more.  Russia is not one of the top 5.  Hackers are everywhere nowadays. The Russian government is not engaged in Cyberattacks.  We received 10 requests to investigate Cyberattacks on US companies during 2020, and we replied to all of them in detail.  We sent 45 requests to the US to investigate Cyberattacks, some were on Russian health care facilities, that originated from the US, and received no answers.

Biden – I gave him a list of 16 infrastructure areas that must be off limit to Cyberattacks (wait a minute, Joe, does that mean that it is alright to attack anybody that is not on the “list”? ).  I also told him that there will be severe consequences if any of these are attacked (like what, Joe? You’ll Cyber bomb Russia?).

2:0 Russia

Ukraine:

Putin – We are ready to proceed according to the Minsk agreement etc.  went into a lot of detail about the problem.

Biden –  More cliches: “We have an unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”  blah blah blah

3:0  Russia

In short,  Biden spoke in generalities and cliches, Putin spoke in much detail and knowledge of the subject matter.  Biden was closely controlled by his staff and only called on reporters from a list prepared for him (when he went off script, he got in trouble and showed temper, and later on apologized to a reporter, only to insult others…).  Putin addressed the questions with facts (maybe, his facts, we don’t really know) and much detail. No bullshit.

The bottom line – Biden’s view on how to handle Russia is: I told him what we expect, and if he does not mend his ways, he will lose his standing in the world, “His credibility worldwide shrinks” and that will be their punishment – Oy Vey.

It was embarrassing.
